Phil is the deputy managing director of Rathbones Investment Management International. He manages a range of private client, trust and charity portfolios and sits on both Jersey and Group Investment Committees at Rathbones. Phil is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) and holds the Investment Management Certificate (IIMR).

He joined Rathbones from Close International Asset Management, where he was the lead investment manager responsible for managing Close’s multi-award winning All Weather Fund. Phil has worked in the finance industry for 37 years, both in Jersey and the United Kingdom; and he has extensive private and investment banking experience, having also worked previously at SG Hambros and NatWest Bank.

Phil is the deputy managing director of Rathbones Investment Management International. He manages a range of private client, trust and charity portfolios and sits on both Jersey and Group Investment Committees at Rathbones. Chris joined Rathbones in 2014 from Jupiter Asset Management where he worked with Financial Intermediaries across the UK and Europe for over a decade. Chris joined Rathbones as part of the transaction involving the Jupiter Private Clients and Charities team and was an integral part of launching the Rathbones International business in 2014. Chris is responsible for identifying and developing business relationships with Financial Intermediaries Internationally.

Chris joined Rathbones in 2014 from Jupiter Asset Management where he worked with Financial Intermediaries across the UK and Europe for over a decade. Ed Boswell is a Chartered Financial Planner dedicated to helping individuals, families, and entrepreneurs achieve their financial goals. With a 1st class honours degree in Accounting and Finance from Bristol Business School, Ed has been providing personalised advice to clients in Bristol and the South West since 2015.

Beginning his career at Hargreaves Lansdown in 2011, Ed joined Rathbones in 2022. He brings expertise in areas such as protecting wealth, investment and retirement planning, succession and inheritance tax planning, and working with entrepreneurs to plan for their future, all while respecting clients' values and priorities.

In his role at Rathbones, Ed is committed to understanding his clients' aspirations and providing holistic financial planning advice that aligns with their ethical and ESG preferences. His focus on building lasting relationships enables him to support clients through every stage of their financial journey, helping them make informed decisions and reach their goals

Jack joined Rathbones in 2017 from Standard Chartered Bank where he was a Senior Banker advising and structuring high net worth individuals investment needs. He has gained International experience in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Through his wide ranging international network and close ties with the Channel Islands, Jack is responsible for identifying and developing business relationships with Financial Intermediaries Internationally. Jack holds a BA Honours degree from the University of Chichester. He is a qualified Investment professional and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments.

In 2019 he was shortlisted in the ‘Future Leader in Private Client’ category at Spear’s Wealth Management Awards. He went on to be categorised as “Top Recommended” by Spears in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

In 2015 Bob helped launch the Rathbones’ international team which manages Sterling, Euro and Dollar portfolios for clients of international advisers; the team was named Best International Discretionary Fund Manager at the annual International Investment Awards in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Furthermore, Bob is responsible for communicating Rathbones' investment views to the media and is regularly quoted in the national press.

Robert joined Rathbones in 2014 as an investment director. He started his investment career over 20 years ago at Coutts & Co as a portfolio manager in their investment department after graduating from Newcastle University with a degree in Economics and Business Management in 1994.

After gaining his investment qualifications at Coutts he then moved to the Private Client division of Invesco Perpetual as investment director and was responsible for the integration of Perpetual’s Private Client division, focussing on the management of both UK and international private client portfolios. In 2004, Invesco Perpetual sold their Private Client division to Singer & Friedlander and, in 2008, Robert joined Jupiter Asset Management with the same team of individuals he has worked with since 1995.

Finally, Jupiter sold their Private Client division to Rathbones in 2014, where Robert retains his specialism of managing investment portfolios for high net worth individuals, trusts, charities and pension funds, both in the UK and for international “ex-pats” by working in partnership with specialist financial advisors in Europe. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Securities Institute.

Tim is an investment director with 27 years’ experience of managing private client investment portfolios.  He joined Rathbones in August 2000 having previously worked at Kleinwort Benson Private Wealth Management where he also had responsibility for researching the pharmaceuticals and telecoms sectors.

He manages discretionary private client investment portfolios, together with a number of charities, personal pension schemes and bespoke unit trusts/OEICs for large family groups, often within complex trust structures. 
Tim is a member of the Rathbones Investment Executive Committee which has responsibility for the investment process, its monitoring and ongoing development. He is also sits on Rathbones Portfolio Construction Committee and is a member of the Collective Funds Investment Committee, which has responsibility for the research, selection and ongoing monitoring of “best-of-breed” funds for the group.

On graduating with an honours degree majoring in Economics, Tim was commissioned from Sandhurst into The Black Watch where he served for five years. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Will is a fund manager on the Rathbone Multi-Asset Portfolio Funds, the offshore Luxembourg-based SICAVs, as well as the Rathbones Managed Portfolio Service (MPS), working alongside David Coombs. He joined Rathbones in 2007, having worked previously as a specialist researcher for Theisen Securities. At Rathbones, Will joined the charities team, and was appointed as an investment manager in 2011, running institutional multi-asset mandates. He has been on the multi-asset team since 2015 and is a member of Rathbones’ Fixed Income Funds Committee.

Will graduated from the University of Manchester Institute of Science of Technology with a BSc Hons in Management, and is a CFA charterholder.
