Tim joined Rathbones in March 2006 and manages discretionary portfolios for private clients, pension funds, trusts and charities.  He is also a member of the Investment Executive Committee and chairman of the Diversifiers Committee. 

Tim is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and has a joint honours degree from Edinburgh University in Politics and Economic History.  Prior to joining Rathbones, he worked for nine years as an investment manager at Kleinwort Benson where he sat on the Asset Allocation Committee and the Overseas Stock Selection Committee. Tim is married with three children and lives in Suffolk.

After graduating from Exeter University with an economics and politics degree he studied accountancy with Arthur Young before joining James Capel in the City of London. Tim is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Tim Hurst has been employed in the front office of the Wealth Management industry since 2000. Tim provides bespoke management services to high net individuals, families, corporates, and intermediaries. Tim manages Portfolios, including AIM (IHT), ISAs, Pensions and Trusts. 

Tim is a chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and is educated to degree level. Tim was employed as a senior investment director for Investec Wealth & Investment, previously Rensburg Sheppards and was deputy manager of their Cheltenham office. 

Tim is a family man and lives in the Cotswolds. Away from work he enjoys trail running, playing golf, football and walking his dogs.

Tim is an investment director with 27 years’ experience of managing private client investment portfolios.  He joined Rathbones in August 2000 having previously worked at Kleinwort Benson Private Wealth Management where he also had responsibility for researching the pharmaceuticals and telecoms sectors.

He manages discretionary private client investment portfolios, together with a number of charities, personal pension schemes and bespoke unit trusts/OEICs for large family groups, often within complex trust structures. 
Tim is a member of the Rathbones Investment Executive Committee which has responsibility for the investment process, its monitoring and ongoing development. He is also sits on Rathbones Portfolio Construction Committee and is a member of the Collective Funds Investment Committee, which has responsibility for the research, selection and ongoing monitoring of “best-of-breed” funds for the group.

On graduating with an honours degree majoring in Economics, Tim was commissioned from Sandhurst into The Black Watch where he served for five years. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Tim joined Rathbones in 2018 as an investment director.  He is a qualified Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and holds the Securities Institute Diploma.

Tim graduated in 2000 with a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and after a brief period in the military, started his investment management career in 2002.  Tim spent equal time at Charles Stanley and Killik before joining HSBC Global Asset Management in 2011 where he was the regional head for London representing Discretionary Wealth Management.  Throughout his investment management career, Tim’s focus has been on investments for private individuals, their pensions and family trusts.

Tim is a regional director responsible for Rathbones' Investment Management business in Liverpool.

He started his investment career in 1994 initially with Neilson Cobbold which was acquired by Rathbones in 1996. Prior to this Tim served eight years in the Army with the 9th/12th Royal Lancers.

Tim is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. He manages a wide variety of client portfolios including private clients, trusts, pension funds and charitable trusts on a segregated basis. Tim was a member of the Group Stock Selection Committee from 2002 to 2017 and chairman of trustees for the Rathbone pension scheme from 2006 to 2018, he is also involved with the Financial Advisor Specialist Group. Tim was appointed as a non-executive director for the Invesco Income Growth Trust plc on 3rd April 2018.

As an investment director, Tom manages portfolios for private clients, pension funds, charities and trusts. He holds a MSc in Industrial Relations from Manchester Business School and a BSc in Management Studies from the University of Manchester (UMIST).

Tomas joined Rathbones in 2018 having previously worked for Sanlam Private Wealth. He began his career as a financial planner in 2011, before moving to work in investment management in 2012.

Tomas graduated from the University of Liverpool, where he gained his economics degree and Masters in 2010. During his career, Tomas has attained a number of professional qualifications, including Chartered Financial Planner, Chartered Wealth Manager and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Based in the Kendal office, Tomas manages a range of private client, trust, pension and charity portfolios.
