Angela has over twenty-five years of investment experience . She joined Speirs & Jeffrey in 2014 and arrived at Rathbones in July 2019 following the integration of S&J. Angela started her investment career working as an investment manager for both Greig Middleton and  Smith & Williamson. 

Angela manages a wide range of private client portfolios including pension and offshore bond investments. In addition she invests for a number of institutional portfolios including trusts and charities.  

Angela is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

Ann joined Rathbones in 2007 and works as a client service executive for Robert Hughes-Penney. She has more than 25 years’ experience working in the finance industry.  Prior to joining Rathbones, Ann worked for a firm of accountants/football agents specialising in professional footballers where she was responsible for managing their personal administration.

She has a certificate in Investment Administration level 3 from the Securities & Investment Institute (2009), and obtained a BA (Hons) in Humanities with Classical Studies from the Open University in 2015.

Archie joined Rathbones in 2018 as a voting and governance analyst. He supports Matt Crossman, on the stewardship team, ensuring informed proxy voting and corporate engagement activities as part of Rathbones’ stewardship policies, and helping to promote the integration of ESG within the investment process.

Prior to Rathbones, Archie worked for Oikocredit in their UK and Ireland office. During his time there, he worked as a client executive, tasked with generating capital from individuals and institutions.

Archie graduated in 2015 from the University of Edinburgh with a masters in Theology.

Audrey joined Rathbones in early 2017 having previously worked in the industry as a client service executive at Bordier and Cie (UK) Limited. She was later promoted to a senior client service executive whilst working at Bordier.

Audrey graduated, with a 2:1 (Hons) degree, from Bristol University in 2011 and worked as an intern at an investment management firm in the City for one year.

Audrey works as a client service executive for two investment directors, Charles Wilcox and Andrew Dawson Paul.

Ben joined Rathbones’ research department in 2019 as a generalist covering UK and overseas equities. Ben formerly worked for 10 years as a buy-side analyst at Manulife Asset Management with primary responsibility for the Industrials, Telecommunication Services, and Material sectors in Europe and Japan. His role there included performing in-depth company research, portfolio construction and client communication. He graduated with a 2:1 degree in English Language and Literature from Oxford in 2006 and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.

Ben joined Rathbones following the acquisition of Speirs & Jeffrey, where he initially started on the trainee scheme in 2018.  

Ben is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. He has obtained the Investment Advice Diploma in Securities & Derivatives and Chartered Wealth Manager (CWM) qualification.  Ben holds a degree in Industrial Design & Technology from Loughborough University.

Ben works predominantly with Mark Cowan and Stephanie Graham,  providing assistance for a wide range of clients including individuals, families, trusts, pension funds and charitable organisations.

He prides himself on building close relationships with clients, working collegiately with other professionals to form part of a trusted team delivering the highest quality of service.

Ben graduated over a decade ago from the University of Edinburgh with a Masters in Economics and remained in Edinburgh for the first five years of his wealth management career before returning to the North West.

He is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI and a Chartered Wealth Manager. Ben was named in Citywealth Leaders 2019 Future Leaders Top 100 Super Advisors and also in the Citywealth Leaders 2019 Investment Director of the Year.

Betsy joined Greenbank in January 2021 and is an assistant investment manager. She started her career at Rathbones in September 2018, after graduating from The University of Manchester with a first class degree in Psychology. She spent her first year at Rathbones working with the anti-money laundering team. She then spent 15 months on the trainee rotation programme, gaining in-depth experience and knowledge of Rathbones by exposure to a variety of departments.

Betsy is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments, having achieved the CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma (Securities) in July 2020. She passed her Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 exam in July 2021.

Brendan is an investment manager with experience managing a variety of bespoke portfolios including SIPPs, ISAs, and discretionary trusts for private clients, financial advisers and solicitors. He is also a Trustee of Canine Partners, the assistance dog charity.

Brendan has a first class honours degree in Veterinary Bioscience from the University of Glasgow and a MSc in Investment and Finance from the University of Strathclyde. Brendan is a Chartered Wealth Manager and also a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

Brendan began his career in Investment Management with Speirs & Jeffrey before the company was then acquired by Rathbones.
