Andrea joined Rathbones in April 2015 as an investment manager and specialises in the management of charities and private clients as well as looking after pension and trust portfolios.

Andrea started her career with Brewin Dolphin in April 2004 and has achieved her Diploma in Investment Compliance and her Private Client Investment Advice and Management qualification.  She is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (FCSI).

Andrea is an ambassador for Rathbones Financial Awareness training, speaking to children and young adults to provide an insight into the wider world of money and personal finance as well as an overview of the investment management industry.

In addition, she is a keen supporter of the Beatson Cancer Charity, undertaking fund-raising activities and volunteers as a support carer for South Lanarkshire Council.

Andrew joined Greenbank in 2020, he is Greenbank’s operating officer and is responsible for the operational running of Greenbank and helping to design and deliver Greenbank’s strategic growth plan.

Andrew started his financial services career in 1997 with JPMorgan. Over the last 26 years he has worked in a variety of leadership roles focussing on strategy and transformation within high growth businesses. This has been across Investment Banking, Private Banking, Corporate Finance and Management Consultancy, most recently as head of change at Investec Private Bank.

Andrew holds a BSc in Geography from Derby University.

Andrew is an investment director with over 25 years’ experience of managing discretionary investment portfolios for private individuals, their pensions and family trust structures. He also manages investments for charities including a City Livery Company.

After graduating from Durham University, Andrew joined the City stockbroking firm of Laurence Keen and qualified as a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Laurence Keen was acquired by Rathbones in 1998.

Andrew is an investment director with over 25 years’ experience of managing discretionary investment portfolios for private individuals, their pensions and family trust structures. He also manages investments for charities including a City Livery Company.

Andrew works closely with Tony Smith and Graeme Dickie in Glasgow, providing investment management services to private individuals, pensions, and trusts. He completed an undergraduate degree at Glasgow Caledonian University in Finance, Investment and Risk. After obtaining a 2:1, he went on to complete a Master’s degree in Investment Fund Management, achieving a Merit from the University of Glasgow.

Andrew joined Speirs & Jeffrey in 2018 on their graduate scheme before Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.

He has achieved the CISI Level 4 Diploma in Investment Advice as well as the CISI level 7 Diploma in Wealth Management and is now a member of the Chartered Institute.

Based in the Leeds office. Andrew joined Rathbones in 2023 from his previous role as Managing Director and Head of Leeds office at Brown Shipley. He is a Chartered Wealth Manager and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. He has been advising Charities, Trusts, Private Clients and Pension Funds for over 35 years.

He has held board roles with various charities and is an experienced trustee. His clients' needs and aims are his only focus. He stays in close contact with clients and their evolving needs and providing them with most suitable ongoing investment solutions remains his primary objective.

Andrew is an investment director responsible for the investment management of private clients, trusts, charities and self-invested personal pension (SIPP) accounts. He started his working life with Cazenove in London and Salisbury, moving up to Edinburgh in 1994 to work for Ivory & Sime Private Clients before helping to arrange its sale to Rathbones in 1998. He has over 26 years' experience in financial markets and is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Within Rathbones, Andrew sits on the Stock Selection Committee for Rathbones Investment Management, and the Broker Selection Committee. He has a specialist interest in oil exploration and production stocks, and mining companies.

Andrew Theban is an Investment Manager in our Bristol office and joined Rathbones in 2022, previously having worked at Investec.

Andrew is an investment director and has a broad and growing client base. Honours graduate in Political Studies from Aberdeen University, Andrew is a Chartered Accountant, having trained with Chiene & Tait in Edinburgh. After qualifying as a CA, he joined Edinburgh Fund Managers (now part of Standard Life Aberdeen), working as a fund manager within the group's UK small companies team and then its enlarged UK department.

Andrew joined Speirs & Jeffrey in 1999. He is a member of the Chartered Financial Analysts Society of the UK. Formally a director of Speirs & Jeffrey, he was responsible for the oversight of the firm’s research department.  He is a governor of The Glasgow Academy and acts as trustee for a number of external organisations. Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.

Andrew is an investment director with the Rathbone’s charities team based at our Liverpool office. He has extensive knowledge and experience of helping private individuals, charities and not for profit organisations to achieve their long term financial objectives throughout a career spanning 20 years working within the investment management industry.

Andrew began his career after graduating from the University of Manchester with a degree in Middle Eastern Studies, joining Gerrard Investment Management Ltd in 2002 where he qualified as an investment manager. He subsequently became a charity investment advisor with Barclays Wealth at their Birmingham office before joining Rathbones in 2019.
