Ed joined the team in 2019 as a Trainee Investment Manager. He graduated from the University of Exeter in 2017 with a degree in Politics. He also holds the Investment Advice Diploma and is working towards the CFA.

Elizabeth joined Rathbones in January 2005, after graduating from the University of Oxford (Lady Margaret Hall). She holds an MA in Mathematical Sciences. Having worked for many years as a quantitative analyst, fundamental analyst and latterly as a fund manager, Liz has been promoted to the role of investment risk director for Rathbone Asset Management.

She profiles risk across the funds, including areas such as liquidity, investment risk and data analysis, and is charged with ensuring the integrity of information that is provided to clients, institutions and the fund managers themselves. She holds the Investment Management Certificate and is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Charterholder.

Elizabeth Haigh is an investment director and chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment. She is responsible for the management of private client and trustee ethical investment portfolios, with special interest in the development of social enterprise investment. Elizabeth began her career at Laing and Cruickshank Investment Management in 1987 after graduating from the University of Bristol. She moved to Albert E Sharp Investment Management where she launched the UK’s first tailor made ethical investment service for private clients, trustees and charities in 1992. In 1995 she commissioned influential research into UK companies’ family friendly employment policies.

Elizabeth moved to Rathbones in 1997 where she and her team established an ethical investment service, going on to found Greenbank Investments (specialist ethical investment unit of Rathbones) in 2004. Elizabeth served as head of Greenbank Investments from 2004 to 2009 and has been involved in shareholder engagement throughout her career in socially responsible investment.

Elizabeth is an Investment Manager delivering a discretionary portfolio management service, specialising in looking after large family structures, complex private clients, and trusts. Within Rathbones she sits on the Overseas Stock Selection Committee.

Elizabeth and her team aim to give peace of mind to their clients, safe in the knowledge that their wealth is being managed professionally and conscientiously.

She holds a combined honours degree in Economics and Mathematics from Newcastle University and is a Chartered Member of the CISI (Charted Institute of Securities and Investment) having achieved the Investment Advice Diploma. Elizabeth is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder.

Elizabeth is Rathbone Investment Management’s co-chief investment officer.  Working alongside Edward Smith, she has joint responsibility for Rathbones’ research department, the evolution and performance of its investment process and its responsible investment philosophy. Day- to-day, she focuses on overseeing equity and fund selection, stewardship and ESG integration, research implementation and operations. She is also a member of Rathbones’ Investment Executive Committee.

Elizabeth joined Rathbones in 2005 and previously worked at Progressive Alternative Investments, a fund of hedge funds. Elizabeth graduated from Newcastle University and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation and the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.

Ellie manages investment portfolios for a range of clients including individuals, families and charitable organisations. She works primarily with Regional Director, Adam Drummond. She graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a first class honours degree in International Business and Finance and joined the Speirs & Jeffrey investment team in 2018. Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.

Ellie is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments having obtained the Investment Advice Diploma and Chartered Wealth Manager (CWM) qualification with distinction. She sits on the Rathbones Overseas Equity committee and contributes actively to committee discussions on international equity markets. She is also a CISI Financial Services Specialist and sits on the examination panel for the Securities and Investment exam.

Elliot joined Rathbones’ charity team in 2016 from Investec Wealth & Investment, where he spent eight years as an investment manager in the charities team. He has over 15 years' experience of advising and managing private client portfolios and charity investments. As a trustee and treasurer of Shaftesbury Young People, a charity dedicated to the lives of young and disadvantaged children, and a founding trustee of a Chinese arts-based charity, Elliot brings a wealth of experience and insight to helping charities achieve their future growth goals.

Elliot has a BSc in Robotics and Control Engineering and a masters in International Finance from ICMA Business School, Reading University. He successfully completed his Securities Diploma in 2007.
