Paul started his career as a branch manager with Waters Lunnis stockbrokers. Prior to joining Rathbones he worked at Vartan Ravenscroft as an investment manager for 14 years. Paul managed accounts on both an advisory and discretionary basis ranging from private clients, SIPPs, ISAs, trusts, companies and charities.  

Paul is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute for Securities & Investment and passed the Private Client Investment Advice and Management paper in 2012.

Paul is an investment director in our Exeter office and is responsible for looking after a wide range of clients including private individuals and families, trusts, charities, pensions and corporate clients. He first started in portfolio management in 1983 and joined Rathbones in 2019.

He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment and is a former member of their Applied Wealth Management and Portfolio Construction examination boards. He is also an ex-president of the local CISI Branch in the South West.

Paul is also a trustee of Turntable, which assists people on benefits in the Exeter area, and is a keen golfer, having been chairman at his local golf club. He also sits on several boards in an advisory capacity.  He is married to Lorraine and has three adult children.

Paula is a highly experienced investment manager specialising in the discretionary management of private client, trust, pension and charity portfolios. Paula and her team are committed to understanding each client’s specific requirements and providing a clear and personal service of the highest quality to family members across the generations.  She works closely with clients’ trusted advisers and is a member of the Rathbones independent financial adviser team.   Paula was previously with Jupiter Private Clients where she was a senior member of the team developing an award winning investment process for advisers and their clients, then acquired by Rathbones in 2014.

Paula began her investment career at Hoare Govett moving to Invesco to build a private client investment business which was later acquired by Singer & Friedlander Investment Management. She was elected as a member of the London Stock Exchange in 1991.  Paula is a Chartered Fellow of the Securities Institute and also a Chartered Wealth Manager. She is also proud to be a trustee of the National Health Service Pensioners Trust charity.

Perry joined Rathbones in 1999 after a career in the IT industry. He acts as adviser to Greenbank’s ethical, sustainable and impact research team, which he headed until 2021. He was responsible for establishing the team’s proprietary research database and continues to be involved in its development. He also conducts thematic research into key responsible investment issues as well as monitoring corporate performance on environmental, social and governance matters. Perry was a founder member of Greenbank in 2004.

Peter is a DFM Specialist at Rathbones, responsible for the East of England. He joined Rathbones in June 2020, having spent over 4 years as a Business Development Manager with City Asset Management, and six years with Sanlam. Peter brings over 25 years of experience in intermediary focused roles.

Peter is an investment director and Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI). He joined Rathbones in 2014 prior to which he had been a partner of Smith & Williamson Investment Management Ltd where he had been for some 20 years. At Smith & Williamson he provided investment support to the personal financial planning arm concentrating on pension management, fixed income investing and heading up the collective research process.

At Rathbones Peter works very closely with James Vincent and three further investment managers heading up a team looking after £1bn+ of private client, pension, charity and trust investments. The team specialise in supporting high net worth individuals and their families. As a very experienced fixed income investor, Peter also sits on the Fixed Income Committee. 

Peter speaks a number of languages and has a degree in French & Swedish with Economics. Having spent his formative years in Italy he had plenty of exposure to skiing and most alpine sports and is currently a Trustee of the Skiers Trust of Great Britain. He is a keen cyclist and when possible heads down to the family home in Cornwall for coastal walking.

Peter is an Investment Director who joined Rathbones in 2014 from Adam Investment Management. He graduated from the University of St Andrews with a BSc Hons in Geography and went on to complete an MSc postgraduate degree in Property Investment and Management. Peter holds the CISI Chartered Wealth Manager qualification, the CFA Investment Management Certificate, and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.

Peter started his investment career at HSBC working in fund services before moving to Adam Investments in 2010, where he supported senior managers in the running of private client portfolios, company research and coverage of the UK equity market.

Peter leads the London and Cambridge Region at Rathbones Investment Management. He joined Rathbones in 2012 following the acquisition of Taylor Young Investment Management Ltd where he was Chief Executive Officer and Head of the Executive Committee. In his role as Investment Director, Peter draws on over 35 years’ experience in the wealth management sector as well as the wide range of specialists within Rathbones in attending to the needs of the individual clients, trusts and pension schemes he is responsible for. Clients are at the heart of all that Rathbones do and Peter leads in a collaborative style and is passionate about developing staff to ensure they can provide the highest quality client service. In January 2022 Peter became Chair of the Rathbones Investment Executive Committee, which oversees the governance of the investment process and areas of ongoing development. Peter is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and a Chartered Wealth Manager and holds a BSc (Honours) in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of London. He is also a trustee of estate, family, and charitable settlements.

Phil is an investment director who joined Rathbones in 1997 having previously qualified as a professional member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.

Phil completed the Securities Institute Diploma and subsequently qualified as a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment as well as achieving the designation of Chartered Wealth Manager.

Phil is responsible for managing investment portfolios for private individuals, trusts and SIPPs.
