Scott is an investment director and manages portfolios for a wide range of clients. Like many, Scott is a very experienced member of the team and has experienced a number of market cycles and crises throughout his time with Speirs & Jeffrey.

He joined Speirs & Jeffrey in 1987 and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.

Scott is a trainee investment manager in the London investment management team at Rathbones. Having graduated from Heriot-Watt University with an MA (Hons) degree in International Business Management, he completed an MSc in Real Estate: Investment and Finance prior to joining Rathbones in 2018.

Scott is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI), he has completed his Investment Advice Diploma and is now pursuing the CISI Chartered Wealth Manager qualification.

He joined Rathbones in June 2021 from Brooks Macdonald Asset Management where he spent eleven years and served as both Head of AIM and Head of Direct Equities. A graduate of Heriot Watt University, Scott is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) and holder of the Investment Management Certificate (IMC). Scott manages a variety of private client mandates but specialises in tax efficient AIM portfolios.

Sean joined Rathbones in 2015 and oversees the Research Operations function. Sean is also responsible for the management and implementation of the investment research communications strategy.

Previously, Sean worked for Dow Jones as a senior associate covering the private markets. During his time there, he produced an array of research content for clients and for public consumption, focusing principally on private equity and venture capital investment activity in the U.S., EMEA and China.

Sean received an honours degree in European Studies with Spanish from the University of Portsmouth, which included a five month overseas study placement at the University of Salamanca.

Sean joined Rathbones in 2015 and oversees the Research Operations function. Sean is also responsible for the management and implementation of the investment research communications strategy.

Shelly manages the Investor Relations function at Rathbones Group Plc.  She started her career in Toronto working for TD Securities before moving to the UK to join the London Stock Exchange where she held various roles that allowed her to build her experience of listing rules and annual Plc practices. She then joined the Investor Relations practice of Citigate Dewe Rogerson where she worked with a number of large UK and European listed clients across a range of industries executing their investor relations programmes.

Shelly holds a MSc in Managerial Economics and Strategy from the London School of Economics and a BA from The Richard Ivey School of Business.

Shivee joined Rathbones in 2023 and has started on the graduate trainee investment management programme. This is her first job after graduating from the London School of Economics and Political Science in July 2023 in BSc Management. Shivee also completed a summer internship in M&A during her second year of university.

Simon is a regional director and the head of office for Edinburgh. He has managed investments for private individuals, trusts, pension funds and charities for 17 years and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.

Simon began his investment career with Albert E. Sharp in 2001. After completing his training, he moved back north of the border to work at Brewin Dolphin in Edinburgh, before joining Rathbones in 2006. Simon looks after some £525m of client funds and chairs the Groups Self Invested Personal Pension Committee. The other investment directors on his team are John Gunn, Evangelos Assimakos and Keith Mackenzie. They are supported by client service executive Sarah Masterton-Hale.

Simon is regional director in the Exeter office. He specialises in managing investment portfolios on behalf of private clients, charities, trusts and pension funds. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

During his career, Simon has established strong working relationships with a number of solicitors, accountants and independent financial advisers. He joined in June 2010 to assist with the expansion of Rathbones into the West Country.

Simon is regional director in the Exeter office. He specialises in managing investment portfolios on behalf of private clients, charities, trusts and pension funds. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Simon joined Rathbones in April 2006 as a result of the acquisition of Ely Fund Managers (Part of the Dexia Group). Simon qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Binder Hamlyn in 1983 since when he has chalked up over 25 years stock-market experience in the City and overseas working for a number of leading UK and international stockbrokers before joining Ely Fund Managers in 2002.

Simon is an investment director and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), a  Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) and an IMC member of the CFA Society of the UK.
