Susan joined Speirs & Jeffrey in December 2007 and after initially focusing on the institutional sales and research market, she moved across to a private client management role. Prior to the integration with Rathbones, Susan was chief investment officer of Speirs & Jeffrey. She manages portfolios for a wide range of clients.

Susan graduated from Glasgow University with an accountancy degree and subsequently qualified as a CA with KPMG, including a six-month secondment to their Paris office. She joined the corporate finance department of Allied Provincial Securities in 1988 and moved to the institutional team at Allied Provincial in 1990. Until the end of 2013, Susan had spent her career in institutional stockbroking with a particular focus on small and midcap companies. She is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.

Susie is an investment manager specialising in the management of private client, SIPP, trust and charity portfolios. She joined Rathbones in 2014 and worked in our Lymington office until 2020. Tom is a graduate of Durham University, where he studied Economics. He joined Rathbones in 2014, spending two years in Operations and a year on the Dealing desk before moving into investment management.

Tom now works with Joanna Pennington-Jones in the management of portfolios, primarily for private clients, pensions and Trusts.

​He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment (CISI), having attained the Chartered Wealth Manager qualification, in which he won an award for exam performance. He is also a CFA Charterholder, having passed all three levels on the first attempt and scored in the top decile of candidates for level I.

Thomas is a risk analyst at Rathbones. He joined the company in December 2014, initially working as a portfolio modelling assistant within a large private client team. Thomas later went on to work as an investment manager’s assistant supporting an investment director with the management of client’s investment portfolios. Thomas then joined the research team in 2016.

Thomas graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2014, with a first-class honours degree in Mathematics; and holds the Investment Management Certificate.

Thomas joined Rathbones in May 2012, after graduating from the University of St Andrews with a honours degree in History. He is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder and holds  a Masters in Finance from London Business School.

Tiffany joined Rathbones in 2012.  She manages investment portfolios for a variety of private clients, charities, trusts and family office arrangements.  Tiffany is a member of both the Rathbones’ UK Stock Selection and the Diversifiers Committees.

Tilia joined Rathbones in 2022 as a junior ESG and stewardship analyst. She is part of the stewardship team, working on corporate engagement activities, informed proxy voting and the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors within the investment process.

Prior to joining Rathbones, Tilia was knowledge officer at Accounting for Sustainability (A4S) where she worked to inspire action by finance leaders to drive a shift towards resilient business models and a sustainable economy.

Tilia is a graduate of Durham University where she studied Geography and has also completed the Chartered Banker Institute’s Certificate in Green and Sustainable Finance.

Tim joined Rathbones in March 2006 and manages discretionary portfolios for private clients, pension funds, trusts and charities.  He is also a member of the Investment Executive Committee and chairman of the Diversifiers Committee. 

Tim is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and has a joint honours degree from Edinburgh University in Politics and Economic History.  Prior to joining Rathbones, he worked for nine years as an investment manager at Kleinwort Benson where he sat on the Asset Allocation Committee and the Overseas Stock Selection Committee. Tim is married with three children and lives in Suffolk.
