Rathbones is pleased to announce that Alex Moore, head of collectives research, has been recognised as a rising star in the industry by landing a spot in PAM’s 2019 Top 40 under 40.
Moore joined Rathbones in May 2015 as a collectives research analyst and was promoted to head of collectives research in July 2018. Prior to joining, he worked for the British Steel Pension Fund and Dimensional Fund Advisors, specialising in Asia-Pacific and emerging markets equity portfolio management.
Moore is responsible for overseeing the team that provides guidance to Rathbones’ investment managers in making investment decisions in collective vehicles across equities, fixed income, and alternative asset classes.
Within Rathbones, Moore is also a mentor to junior members of the investment management team and colleagues working in departments outside of investment management. He holds the Investment Management Certificate, is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, and is a CFA Charterholder.
Commenting on the award, Moore said, “It is an honour to be included as one of the PAM’s Top 40 under 40. The intelligence my team and I provide to Rathbones’ investment directors is crucial in the decisions they make on behalf of their clients. Having my work – and that of my team – acknowledged by the industry is testament to the quality of our research.”
Inclusion in the coveted list was based on an open call for nominations, followed by reputation or performance of the nominee’s employer, feedback from senior executives, trajectory of promotion, business development success and relative age.
