Rathbones expands in Scotland with new Glasgow office

<p>Rathbones today announces the opening of its new office at The Athenaeum, 8 Nelson Mandela Place in Glasgow, increasing its presence in Scotland. This complements Rathbones’ established operations in Edinburgh and Aberdeen, bringing its total number of offices across the UK and Channel Islands to 15.</p>
<p>The office will be led by regional director, <a href="http://www.rathbones.com/about-us/our-people/angus-kerr">Angus Kerr</a>. Angus is a key figure in the Glasgow investment management sector and has over 18 years’ experience managing client portfolios. He will be supported by:</p>
Funds under management grow 6.3% to £28.9 billion

<p>This Interim Management Statement covers the period from 1 January 2015 to 13 May 2015 and includes trading results for the three months ended 31 March 2015.</p>
<p><strong>At the Annual General Meeting later today, Mark Nicholls, Chairman of Rathbones, will say:</strong></p>
<p>“With a backdrop of reasonably favourable investment markets our total funds under management reached £28.9 billion at the end of the first quarter, up 6.3% from 31 December 2014.</p>

<p>Rathbones are one of the sponsors of the dot-art Schools competition, an annual art event for primary and secondary schools in the Liverpool City Region. dot-art Schools is an interactive, online competition, culminating in an exhibition at St Georges Hall from the 5th to the 21st June. The competition is designed to nurture talent, raise ambition, and take art out of the classroom and into the real world.</p>
Rathbones' Funds under management grow 24%

<p>This is a preliminary statement of annual results published in accordance with FCA Listing Rule 9.7A.<br>
It covers the year ended 31 December 2014.</p>
<p><strong>Mark Nicholls, Chairman of Rathbones Group Plc, said:</strong></p>
<p>“2014 was a challenging year for most investment markets, which became increasingly volatile in the second half. Despite this, Rathbones had another good year and achieved strong and broad-based growth. Our total funds under management grew by 23.6 % over the year to £27.2 billion and we warmly welcomed more than 5,000 new clients during the year.</p>
