Tony is an investment director. He started his career in stock broking with Allied Provincial in 1987 and over a number of years worked in their Leeds, Lymington and Kendal offices before returning to Lymington to join Brewin Dolphin in 1998 where he became a divisional director. He joined Rathbones in September 2012.

Tony specialises in managing portfolios for private individuals, trusts and pension funds and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Tony is an investment director. Tony started his stockbroking career in 1986 and has now established 30 plus years’ experience of catering for the investment needs of high net worth individuals and family trusts. He is also a Chartered Wealth Manager and has a Securities Institute Diploma (Regulation and Compliance, Private Client Investment Advice & Fund Management). After joining Neilson Cobbold in Liverpool, a long-established firm in the City, Tony continued his responsibilities to his clients with Rathbones as an qualified investment director in the mid 1990’s and manages beneficial long-term client and intermediary relationships, specialising in providing bespoke investment solutions for self-invested personal pensions (SIPPs)/SSASs, offshore bonds, equity, bond and collective portfolios for private clients, trustees and charities.

Tony is married and lives on the Wirral, Cheshire with two grown-up daughters and pursues his active interests in classic cars, cycling, gardening and DIY.

Julian is an investment director and manages a wide range of private client, family trust, personal pension and charity portfolios. Julian achieved the Securities Industry Diploma in 1997 having joined A H Cobbold & Co in 1986. In October 2010 Julian became a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Will joined Rathbones in 2005, starting afresh in the Investment Management world after completing a degree in Modern History from Oxford University and then a county cricket career with Hampshire.

As Head of South, he oversees the Rathbones’ offices across the region as well as running the Winchester office. He is a Chartered Member of the CISI. 

Will is committed to making a difference for all those he works for and believes that teamwork is vital to that. By listening and understanding clients’ aims and objectives, he takes responsibility for seeking and achieving the best outcomes for them. To do so, he draws on his excellent team and Rathbones’ extensive specialist resources as well as collaborating with a wide range of external advisers.

Equally, Will is passionate about helping his colleagues to fulfil their potential, believing that a professional, healthy and motivated team is the key to providing clients with the best possible service.

His love of sport is fortunately reflected by his wife and three teenage children, though he can often be found seeking some peace and quiet in the garden or out with the family dog, Pedro.

Jonathan is an investment director, joining Rathbones in March 2011. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment and has been managing investments for a wide range of private individuals, trusts, SIPPs and charities since 1983. 

Jonathan originally started his city career as a jobber with Wedd Durlacher Mordaunt before moving across to stockbroking with Henderson Crosthwaite in 1983. Jonathan managed the Horsham office for Henderson Crosthwaite for a number of years before returning to London shortly before the firm merged to become Carr Sheppards Crosthwaite. He moved to Teather & Greenwood in 2001, and thereafter experienced a number of changes of ownership before resigning from BNP Paribas to join Rathbones.

Will graduated from the University of Bristol with a BSc in Economics and Politics. He started his career at BWD Rensburg in Liverpool in 2000 until he left to join UBS in London six years later. After three years in the capital, he returned to Liverpool with Charles Stanley before joining Rathbones.

He is a Fellow of the CISI which gives him FCSI status and he is also a Chartered Wealth Manager. Over his career, he has managed the investments of private clients, trusts and charities within a variety of investment wrappers.

Alex is an investment director, he has a joint honours degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from UEA. Alex is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments, holding the Diploma, and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.

Prior to joining Rathbones in December 2007, Alex worked at HSBC Investments (formerly James Capel) for eight years managing investment portfolios for charities and private clients. At HSBC Alex was a member of the UK Stock Committee and specifically covered the engineering, aerospace and defence sectors.

Throughout his career he has managed portfolios for a wide variety of families, individual clients, pension funds and charities, and spends much of his time working with Independent Financial Advisers and on behalf of their clients.

William is a Chartered Member of the CISI (MCSI).

Jon's career started on the floor of the Stock Exchange with Greene & Co in 1981. In 1985 he joined Sheppards & Chase and remained with them for over 21 years and through several mergers until moving to Rathbones.

He joined Bestinvest in 2000 as an investment adviser rising to investment manager and team leader. William then joined Jupiter Asset Management in 2008 to become an investment director in the Private Client and Charities department and joined Rathbones in 2014 following their acquisition of Jupiter’s Private Client department.

Throughout his career, William has focussed on private clients and charities, notably high net worth families, managing a wide range of investment portfolios and mandates such as those for individuals, trusts, SIPPs, charities and offshore accounts.

William is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI) and holds the CISI Diploma, which is a level 6 qualification. William lives in the country with an ever-expanding family and enjoys all that this brings. He particularly enjoys skiing, surfing and golf when he finds the time.
