Alistair began his career at Gerrard Vivien Gray in 1996, before joining Brewin Dolphin in 1997, where he spent 23 years managing investments on behalf of private clients, financial advisers, charities and trusts.

Alistair joined Rathbones in 2020 as an investment director and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and a Chartered Wealth Manager.

Jake joined Rathbones in 2020.  He spearheads the client development activities across the North of England and the Midlands, delivering discretionary portfolio management services to private clients, charities and trusts. He is also responsible for developing and managing intermediary relationships.

Jake started his career in finance at Lombard Street Research before moving into the private client investment world with Border Asset Management in Cumbria.  He joined Rathbones after 7 years working for Aberdeen Standard Capital (formerly Standard Life Wealth) following the acquisition of Newton Investment Management's private client arm in 2013.  

Jake is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Elliot joined Rathbones in 2020 and works alongside Julian Masters. Prior to this, Elliot spent five years at Brewin Dolphin after graduating from Oxford Brookes University, with a BA (Hons.) in Business & Management.

Elliot is a member of the Developed Equities Collectives Committee which helps to guide on global thematic investment ideas. He is also involved in networking events for professional intermediaries.

Lee has over 15 years finance industry experience, with the last 12 years gained in investment management including managing trust, private client and institutional portfolios, with particular expertise in macroeconomics and bonds. At Rathbones Lee sits on the group Fixed Interest Committee. Lee is a graduate of St. Andrews University with an MA (Hons) in Management and Economics; he also has an MBA from Edinburgh University. Lee is an Adjunct Professor at the Jersey International Business School and is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI.

James graduated from The University of Liverpool in 2006 with an honours degree in Accounting and Finance. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute, as well as a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. Prior to joining Rathbones in 2017, he spent 10 years at The Bank of New York Mellon.

John joined Rathbones in 2020, following a near-twenty year investment career at Barclays.    In 2016, John took on management of Barclays’ Court of Protection (CoP) and Special Interest (SI) book, representing the most vulnerable component of Barclays’ discretionary proposition. This involved a tailored style of management sensitive to the unique nature of each set of client circumstances.   Prior to specialising in CoP and SI work, John managed private client, offshore bond, trust and pension portfolios for Barclays’ Northern Ireland discretionary book. He served on Barclays’ Fixed Income Collectives Committee, and was latterly responsible for the allocation of Government Debt and European equity within the firm’s regional models.   John graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2000, and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

James graduated with a second class honours degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of York and has a master's degree in Political Philosophy.

James assists with managing private client portfolios, trusts, charities and self-invested personal pensions (SIPPs).

He is a CFA Charterholder and Associate of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI).

Ned joined Rathbones in 2020, having started his career at Smith and Williamson in 2009 where he managed a range of private client, pension and trust portfolios. He was the firm’s specialist on the UK banks sector, as well as leading collective research into UK equity and alternative credit funds.

Ned graduated from the University of St Andrews in 2009, and is a CFA charterholder and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Chris has over 13 years' investment management and financial planning experience. He is a specialist in providing advice to recipients of personal injury and clinical negligence awards.

Chris works closely with clients, their families, legal representatives, trustees of personal injury trusts and deputies appointed by the Court of Protection. 

He is experienced working with a wide range of claimants, including minors and brain-injured clients. Chris prides himself in providing solutions tailored to the individual needs of each client, depending on their circumstances, financial sophistication as well as the nature and severity of their injuries enabling them to make informed decisions to ensure they maximise their lifestyle without jeopardising their future security.

When he is not helping his clients he enjoys spending time with his family, travelling and experiencing new cultures. Chris is a founding member of the North West fundraising group for the Child Brain Injury Trust.

He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and a Chartered Financial Planner of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
