Nick joined Saunderson House (SHL) in 2007 as part of the graduate trainee programme and is now a Financial Planning Director and part of Rathbones Financial Planning following the acquisition of SHL in October 2021. Within his role he is responsible for managing clients’ overall financial planning matters, consulting with them on issues of strategy, technical matters and the construction of investment portfolios. Nick particularly enjoys the interaction with clients and helping to guide them through the various different phases of their careers and into financial independence, meaning that they no longer have to worry about their finances. Nick also specialises in long-term cash flow forecasting, enabling clients to (amongst other things) assess the level of risk they need to take to achieve their financial goals or even to decide when they can afford to retire. Outside of work, Nick enjoys travelling and both playing and watching sports.

Max joined the firm in September 2008. An experienced Chartered Financial Planner, Max is passionate about helping clients achieve their financial and personal objectives.  This can range from tax-efficiently building a portfolio for retirement, to suitably provisioning for children’s education or analysing the affordability of lifetime gifts via a measured estate planning strategy. The majority of Max’s clients are time poor and he aims to provide the peace of mind that their financial planning needs are under control and being taken care of.  He mainly looks after clients at Deloitte, EY, Simmons & Simmons, other leading London based firms as well as entrepreneurs and those who have reached retirement.  In his spare time, Max’s main focus is his wife and two children. He also enjoys playing golf, travelling and coaching football for children.

Matt is a Chartered Financial Planner with a First-class degree in Economics and Finance. He passionately believes in the value of providing clients with tailored holistic financial planning and working with clients to help them to make informed decisions and achieve their lifetime objectives. He advises clients on a broad range of areas including tax efficient investment structuring, pension and retirement planning, and succession and estate planning. Outside of work, Matt is a keen American Football player for as long as his body allows and enjoys watching NBA and NFL games when they are on at a reasonable time of the day.

Following completion of his BSc in Economics at the LSE and a successful Summer internship at Saunderson House (SHL), Matt joined permanently in 2014 as part of the graduate trainee programme and is now a part of Rathbones Financial Planning following the acquisition of SHL in October 2021.  Matt has completed the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning, and was subsequently awarded Chartered status in 2018.

Matt enjoys working with an incredibly wide variety of clients from different professions and backgrounds.  He particularly enjoys building personal relationships with clients and their families as they navigate changes in life stage and circumstances.

Matt is married to Naomi and they have a very young daughter.   They are actively involved with their church and enjoy going for long walks.

Leanne has extensive experience of advising high net worth clients including small to medium business owners, entrepreneurs, partners of professional firms, retired clients and their families. Leanne prides herself in her strong client relationships and is passionate about helping clients achieve their long-term goals. She enjoys meeting and finding out more about her clients in order to create bespoke client solutions utilising tax efficient financial planning.
