Investing with care. For long-term security.
Rathbones’ dedicated personal injury (PI) and Court of Protection (COP) team believes it is essential to work closely with clients, deputies, trustees and families to help meet their current and future needs.
Our approach to investment and advice in this area is built on a solid foundation of experience and expertise.
We take time to meet with clients, their families and professional advisers to understand their circumstances, needs and objectives. It’s our belief that only by listening to and truly understanding our clients can we create strategies to help meet their long term plans and requirements.
Our team has over 100 years’ combined experience and over this time we’ve built strong relationships with professionals in this area. If matters need resolving outside the scope of investments, we can bring the expertise of this network to offer additional support. We are trusted to manage over £1 billion of personal injury settlements, making us one of the leading specialist investment managers in the UK.
HOW CAN WE HELP YOU?
There are two distinct elements to our services.

Stuart graduated in 2013 with an honours degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Strathclyde. Shortly thereafter he joined Speirs & Jeffrey.
Having completed the graduate investment management program and qualified as an investment manager at Speirs and Jeffrey, Stuart chose to deepen his investment expertise, spending two years as a research analyst where his responsibilities included research coverage of global equity funds and a range of quoted equities. Stuart returned to working as an investment manager as he enjoys the ability to continue to analyse investments while seeing first-hand the benefits well-chosen investments have on meeting his clients’ goals. Stuart is a member of Rathbone’s Strategic Asset Allocation Committee.
Stuart is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder and Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
