Cheryl joined Rathbones in 2022 and has over 11 years’ experience in the industry having previously worked for the multi-family office Stonehage Fleming and LGT Wealth Management. Outside of Financial Planning, she has previous experience working as a Detective in the Metropolitan Police and currently volunteers for the RNLI.

Cheryl holds the both the Chartered Financial Planner designation and Fellow status from the Personal Finance Society. She was a finalist for Financial Planner of the Year - Scotland & NI in the Women in Financial Advice Awards 2024.

Paul has 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and has achieved Chartered status. Outside of his professional life, Paul enjoys spending time with his family, taking long walks with his Cocker Spaniel, Mona, running, swimming and trips away whenever possible.

I have over 30 years of advising clients on all major life events particularly around retirement and how they can structure a flexible and tax efficient income source. As a Senior Paraplanner, my role focuses on research and analysis. I prepare client reports which outline their current positon, objectives and the detailed recommendations. I use analytical software to review existing arrangements and cash flow analysis is becoming a vital part of my work. I provide technical assistance to the planners and wider team and maintain detailed knowledge of all aspects of financial planning, including taxation and legislation. I sit on the Financial Planning Research Committee carrying out product research. As a Senior Paraplanner I also support the development of other paraplanners.

As a Senior Financial Planning Director, I head the Financial Planning Team in our Glasgow office. My priority is to help my clients achieve their financial goals. By understanding their current position, requirements and financial objectives, I help them to build a tailored financial plan that suits their present and future needs. I am responsible for providing full financial planning advice to individuals. I specialise in both the pre- and post-retirement stages of retirement planning, inheritance tax planning and tax efficient investment strategies. To ensure the best possible outcome for my clients I often work closely with our Investment Managers matching clients' risk profiles and objectives to investment, pension and trust portfolios that will deliver for them and their families over the years.
