Max is a trainee investment manager based in the London office. He works amongst a wider team of eight other investment professionals providing bespoke investment solutions for a wide range of clients, helping them to achieve their objectives. He also works closely with intermediaries, complementing their advice on matters such as wealth structuring, tax efficiency, and intergenerational planning.

Max graduated from the University of Surrey in 2021, with a First Class Honours degree in Economics & Mathematics. Max joined Rathbones in September 2023 after two years of experience working at an Independent Financial Advisory firm.

Max is a member of the Personal Finance Society, having completed his Level 4 CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning in March 2023. Max also holds the CII Level 4 Certificate in Discretionary Investment Management as well as the CFA Society's Level 4 Investment Management Certificate (IMC). He is currently studying toward the Level 7 CISI Chartered Wealth Manager qualification.

Louisa joined Rathbones in 2023 after accumulating four years of experience within the St James's Place Investment division at Rowan Dartington. She is an Associate Member of the CISI, completing her Investment Advice Diploma in February 2023.

Hannah began her career at Rathbones in 2014, carrying out various roles in Operations before moving to Investment Risk where she worked for 4 years monitoring Investment Managers and conducting project work implementing industry regulation. Hannah moved to her role as Assistant Investment Manager in March 2020.

Hannah holds an honours degree in Anatomy and Human Biology from the University of Liverpool. She has completed the Investment Advice Diploma and holds the CISI Chartered Wealth Manager qualification.

David also has expertise working with multi-generational family businesses, managing all their investment needs and helping them to both grow and preserve their wealth. He began his career in financial services in 1997 with Greig Middleton who became Gerrard and eventually Barclays Wealth. David joined RBC Brewin Dolphin in 2010 before moving to Rathbones in 2023. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, David is a Trustee of The Trades House of Glasgow, chairing the Investment Committee. He is also a Trustee of the Incorporation of Maltmen in Glasgow, a charity that supports educational excellence and funds good causes connected to the drinks and hospitality sector. His hobbies include rugby, football and golf.

Having started his career as Research Analyst at a boutique Asset Management firm, Alex now also heads up the team’s research into defensive Structured Products and Global Equities, working closely with the firm’s research analysts and strategists. Alex joined Rathbones in 2023, having worked at Investec Wealth & Investment for over six years, and is a Chartered Member of the CISI.

Before joining Investec, Will spent over a decade with HSBC and specialises in managing investment portfolios whilst working with clients and their advisors to minimise their current tax exposure and plan for the succession of family wealth. He has extensive knowledge and experience of utilising the benefits of complex wrappers including trusts, family investment companies and offshore bonds to help his clients achieve their financial goals.

He joined from Brewin Dolphin having been attracted by Rathbones specialty in environmentally sustainable and ethical investment, and has completed the CFA ESG Certificate. Michael graduated with full honours from St Andrew’s University having studied Applied Physics and Astrophysics, and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI).

Michael also enjoys munro-bagging and being outdoors.

Michael joined Rathbones in 2020 as a Chartered Wealth Manager and works with Private Clients, Financial Advisers, Charities, and other Entities to help realise their financial goals.

John is responsible for managing a number of portfolios for private individuals, personal pensions, trusts and charities. Prior to joining Rathbones in January 2020, John spent nine years at Tilney as a portfolio manager. He holds an Honours Degree in Business Economics and is a member of the Personal Finance Society and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered institute for Securities and Investments. John has attained the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning from the CII and the Chartered Wealth Manager qualification from the CISI.

Max began his career in 2019 working at STANLIB Fund Managers in Jersey, where he worked on the multi-manager team assisting with fund research and fund analysis across all asset classes. Max holds the CISI Investment Advice Diploma and is studying towards the Level 7 Chartered Wealth Manager qualification.
